AFI - A Deep Slow Panic

Hallo! It's been a while since my last post. In this moment, I'm participating in a Creative Allies contest. It's about the next AFI single called 'A Deep Slow Panic'. It would be really great If I'm the winner. AFI is one of my favorite bands since ever. So, this is a result and a little story behind this artwork.

"Fear and Panic. A Slow panic. This is a story of a hunted animal that runs across the forest. Its killer aim at it with an arrow on fire. When it runs, it burns the forest. Its death represent the death of the other sorrounding species. A massive death provoked by a scared being. A deep slow Panic."

Star Wars Anatomy

Concept work made for The Anatomy of Star Wars event. I love the Anatomy concept and Star Wars is one of my favourite sagas, so i decided to use this event as an excuse to develop it. Chewbacca of course, is one of my favourite characters of the movie.

Concept Work - 4Cuartos

Concept work developed for 4Cuartos, one of the biggest rehearsal rooms and recording studios here in Bogotá, Colombia. They have this pet, called Cory, and the concept is based on the Underground music and the constant support they give bands and musicians. Unfortunately, the client didn't approve the work, therefore is a concept work. Work developed with: Sergio Borrero Ferrer, Pablo Méndez and Nicolás Serrano.

Illustration - The Vitruvian Man: Evolution

This is what I called Nostalgia. I've been drawing since i was like four years old: all my life has been around art, but at the age of 16, I decided to get into the digital illustration world. I started using programs as Macromedia Fireworks and PS, and I created some little works. You will see a remake of one of those little works, created in 2007: My own interpretation of the Vitruvian Man, created by Leonardo Davinci circa 1487. The artwork consists in one square version and a poster:

I took the concept based on animal freedom speech and the multiple postmodern meanings of the Human being. The result: A merge of Human and Animal.

This is the 2007 version I made back then.

Illustration - Cityvision Magazine 5 (Italy)

For me, was a real great pleasure to be part of this project. Francesco Lipari, run an architecture practice called OFL architecture and an independent architecture magazine called The Cityvision Magazine in Italy. He contacted me long time ago, just to be part of his Fifth Magazine Issue. Interested on the World Fair 2045 posters serie, he was really excited to see part of my work featured in one of the articles of the magazine.

The theme: Imagine the city of New York as all its historical planes collapse, one on top of the other, (from 1609 to 2012) altering the natural ecosystem and the identity of the city itself and producing a hyperspace where acceleration and simultaneity are the main phenomena of space and time.

Here's my interpretation:

Personal Work - World Fair 2045 ' A look Into the Future'

Well, this is a really weird work. Ideas: Vintage Style, Collage, Future Vision -How people imagined future in the past- and Ads for a World Fair. I just thought about a fake World Fair. A World Fair in 2045. What it is about? I don't know...Probably advanced Technology, Futuristic Cities, and all you can imagine in a future. Result: Three Possible Posters for that fair. Maybe an example and product of lack of sleep.

DIVINE BURIAL OF FEARS - New World Order

Ok. This is one of my band Divine Burial Of Fears. I made this design thinking about 'The New Word Order' Theory. But instead of political and economy order, i thought about a Religion, or any other kind of absurd movement. Why Rasputin? I like Rasputin images. Enjoy it! Cori, is Cuatro Cuartos' Pet. He is a big Pitbull dog. In this time, i just wanted to put him in a Gig flyer. And this was the perfect opportunity : Detonation 666, the sixth version of this important festival. Satan + Cori: Detonation 666. Here's the work! 

Robot & Yeti - Direct Action Management

Direct Action Management contact me for this work. They wanted a Huge Stage Banner for their shows & concert. My first idea was a great fight of monsters, destroying a city. I thought it was good looking for a stage banner. 'Just imagine a bunch of bands playing in a gig with two monsters fighting behind them, Isn't it cool?' I thought. This is the result:
